A Statement on Ukraine

Our hearts continue to ache for our fellow teens and we remain committed to welcoming them into our city and helping them with their transition. To that end, we are currently working with several different refugee organizations and churches and are in the process of hopefully starting a Ukrainian teen refugee chapter in Los Angeles.

Additionally, we are in the planning stages of a possible Spanish Language exchange for our friends from South America.

If you know of any teen refugees whether they be Ukrainian, Afghan, Syrian, Salvadoran, Guatemalan, or Honduran in the Los Angeles area or in your city or town, please reach out to us and we will help you start an active chapter of Teens at the Door.

In solidarity with our Ukrainian teen friends we thought we would share a few of their stories:

Here is a New York Times article about some of those Ukrainian teen refugees in Poland.

“Through Her Eyes: A Ukranian Teenager’s Video Diary”:

“Don’t Leave Me Behind”, a documentary currently airing on MTV.
